2019 Birds in Flight Art Competition run by the Cameron Bespolka Trust

On Wednesday 13th March,  a number of St. Bede KS2 pupils had the honour of taking part in a prize giving ceremony held at Pilgrims’ School for the 2019 Birds in Flight Art Competition run by the Cameron Bespolka Trust. With 175 entries and participants from 12 primary schools in Winchester, St. Bede was very well represented by 19 pupils commended for their excellent artwork and no less than 5 pupils awarded 1st, 2nd or 3rd place prizes in their specific category. Each year, an overall winner is selected from all of the artwork submitted and we are extremely proud to announce that this year, Danny (year 6) was awarded this coveted prize. A truly fantastic achievement!

Judges and members of the Cameron Bespolka Trust commented on the very high standard of artwork submitted this year and congratulated all of the pupils for their time, effort and creativity in making pieces of art that truly capture the movement and grace of birds in flight. For the second year running St. Bede was recognised as the school who had been awarded the most prizes and commendations. We believe this acknowledgement demonstrates our continued commitment to helping each and every child develop, explore and challenge themselves creatively through the arts.
